Plain Ordinary Folk Can Move Extraordinarily Well
The thing about participating in Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement® lessons is that amazing movement becomes available to plain old ordinary folk who can’t imagine they have the ability to move extraordinarily well. The clip from my last posting was of Angela Farmer undulating her way through the downward dog yoga pose. She is an internationally recognized yoga teacher who has been doing this style of yoga for decades and one would assume that her movement would be masterful. Today’s clip on the other hand is of a student in a Feldenkrais Training program executing the final movement of a Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement lesson. A Lesson is set up so that each movement in the sequence informs the one that follows until the end where you get a complex movement that people can execute beautifully without prior training. Realize that this could quite easily be you moving across the floor.
Special thanks to Feldenkrais practitioner, Irene Gutteridge for making this video clip available on YouTube.
